Documents to Prepare for a Funding Review

You don't need everything upfront — our initial intake asks for no SSN, bank credentials, or document uploads. But after human review of your match, your funding partner will request specific documents. Preparing the common ones in advance speeds the process. Here's what to expect, and what to hold back.

What we ask for upfront (and what we don't)

Initial intake: your audience (business, investor, or both), purpose, amount, timing, and contact details — plus a few audience-specific questions.

We do NOT request your Social Security number, bank login credentials, or document uploads in the public form.

Documents are requested later through a private, invitation-only link after a human reviews your match.

Common business documents (partner requirements)

Recent business bank statements (often 3–6 months).

Business tax returns (often 2 years).

Articles of incorporation or formation.

Personal identification and sometimes a personal financial statement.

Product-specific items — e.g., an equipment quote for equipment financing, an AR report for invoice financing.

Common investor documents (partner requirements)

Lease or rent roll / market rent estimate for rentals.

Property appraisal (ordered through the partner).

Entity documents (LLC, etc.).

Existing loan statements for refinances.

Rehab scope and budget, and comparable sales, for fix-and-flip.

What to prepare now

Gather the basics — bank statements, tax returns, entity docs — so you can respond quickly to a document request.

Don't upload sensitive documents to a public form. Wait for the private, invitation-only link tied to your reviewed request.

If something is hard to find, tell us — 'Not sure' is a valid answer, and we'll request details later rather than overwhelm you.

The takeaway

Prepare the basics now, but share them only through the secure, invitation-only link after human review. The initial intake stays light on purpose.

Our guided intake uses your purpose, amount, and timing to suggest products — including alternatives.

Receiving payments from a property you sold?

If you're collecting on an owner-financed sale, a full or partial note sale can convert those future payments into cash now — a separate option from borrowing against a property. Explore a note sale through our real estate note brokerage.

Real Estate Note Evaluations

A note sale is not a loan, a prerequisite to a funding review, or guaranteed funding. Capital funding review remains the primary path for new borrowing.
